I provide individual therapy to adolescents and adults. My primary approaches to addressing anxiety, depression, psychosis, or relationship problems are cognitive-behavioral therapy and schema therapy. Through these therapy models I help people change the way they think about themselves, others, and the world as well as help them change behaviors that are causing problems. I also integrate other approaches and strategies when necessary to make sure clients benefit from all the helpful therapeutic tools that are available.

My typical client...

An adult who is experiencing difficulty at work and home because of low energy, feelings of worthlessness, and a sad mood

A parent of a child who is becoming increasingly disrespectful toward adults and refuses to follow instructions or comply with rules

An adult who is experiencing episodes of intense anxiety and finds it difficult to be around people or be in certain situations

An individual with severe mental illness is not responding well to treatment at a local clinic and the psychiatrist requests help with clarifying the diagnosis and treatment plan

A community mental health, social services, or other agency who is seeking consultation or training in the areas of behavioral health, multimodal or cognitive behavioral treatment, hospital diversion, severe mental illness, or other related topics

There are many other examples that could be listed as there are many kinds of presenting issues that I try to help people with.
